Ruth Matete is a gospel minister and a former winner of the hugely televised Tusker Project Fame talent show. After the winning and her glorious wedding of course, she next took the top trending post on both social media and mainstream news after she lost her Nigerian husband, The Late Beloved John.
In a long post on her Facebook account, she stated that the people whom she trusted are the same people who betrayed her the most. She says even the churches where she ministered abandoned her and did not follow up on how she was fairing on after her husband's death.
