DIANI STAND UP, KUSINI GANG DEFYING ODDS EVEN WITH MEDIA BLACKOUT

Diani, South Coast, Kenya has been the home of several veterans and new emerging musicians for a very long time. We had Risasi and Suzuki (Kule walienda sijui), we had and have Ringtone (though alienda anga zengine kufungua njia), I stand corrected, Vigeti is in Diani (OMG). To the X generation, Vigeti was one of the members in Kalamashaka, the legends of hip hop. Then come to the flag bearer, ORDINAREH BINGWA, still holding on, Papa La Kusini, territory marked.

In the spirit of unity, Diani has united and rebranded in a group dubbed KUSINI GANG featuring Ordinareh Bingwa, Leeq Sky and Pesa Nyingi, at least for now, we'll recognise the three from their newly released single BOOM. The 'gang' carries diversified individuals who do original hip hop and the generic trap.

Ordinareh to some point can be an activist for Hip Hop, let me tell you why. On several occasions he has been spotted 'fighting' a certain club in the South Coast for shipping in neighbors from Tanzania to their own backyard without recognizing the big fishes (and small ones of course). His main point was, as much as we're importing talents, we should take into consideration the homeboys. His naked truth to situations that don't favor local talents has put him in logger heads with some of the industry players. Anyway a shark doesn't need to swim with a pack in order to prey.
